Burbot Bash More information on the 2012 Burbot Bash in January should be coming soon. The predatory Burbot fish has been illegally introduced, hurting all the sport fishing. That is why, for one week, fisherman can come catch as many as possible. Flaming Gorge resort has teamed up for the event with a lodging special, so be sure to book now. |
Waterskiing - Wakeboarding - Boating Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area is a popular water sports area. Come and enjoy slicing through glassy water on your skis, wakeboard, or water tube through the magnificent cliffs of Flaming Gorge. The water temperature in the summer is nice and cool, making the reservoir a great place to cool off during the summer.

Fishing Flaming Gorge Reservoir is a hot spot for summer fishing. Green River guided fishing trips are available so you can fish with a guide familiar to the area. Kayaking - Canoeing - Scuba Diving Another great way to experience the beautiful Flaming Gorge is by taking a nice canoe or kayak trip, or go scuba diving. If you want to paddle between narrow 1000-foot deep canyons or wide-open areas with beautiful scenery, then this is the place for you. We rent one or two person kayaks that make floating on the Flaming Gorge Reservoir or down the Green River exciting! Swimming If you want to just sit and relax on the beach, there are two designated swim beaches for public use on Flaming Gorge Reservoir. Sunny Cove swim beach is located near Mustang Ridge campground just north of the Dam. Lucerne swim beach is located one mile west of Lucerne campground.

Mountain Biking - Hiking There are many hiking and biking trailes that are right around Flaming Gorge Resort. Including the Bear Creek Trail that starts right from Flaming Gorge Resort and goes about 2 miles to a magnificient overlook of Flaming Gorge Reservoir.
